Join us on September 25 in Salem for a mini Lobby Day to maximize results for Clean Energy Jobs! Your presence in the Capitol will help remind legislators of the commitment they made during the last legislative session: to pass Clean Energy Jobs in 2019! The Joint Carbon Reduction Committee has been meeting regularly since the last session, and the group is making great strides to move the bill forward. With your continued support, we can make sure Clean Energy Jobs is a major legislative priority for 2019.

We’ll start the day at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church (790 Marion St NE, Salem, OR 97301) for a training and morning program. From there, we’ll walk over to the Capitol, meet with legislators. These meetings with legislators will take place from 10-12 AM and after 2 PM. We’d like to have as many constituents as possible with us in these encounters. As a constituent, you don’t have to be an “expert” to express your views nor do we expect you to lead the visit. Also, we’ll help you understand the basics and provide support.

From Noon to 2 PM we will attend a hearing of the Joint Interim Committee on Carbon Reduction. With our sizable turnout, we can show legislators just how strongly we support efforts to reduce Oregon’s greenhouse gas emissions and bring a just transition to a greener, cleaner economy.

With your continued support, we can make sure Clean Energy Jobs is a major legislative priority for 2019. We hope to see you there.
