Calling all volunteers!
The largest Labor Day gathering in Oregon is taking place this weekend at Oaks Amusement Park in Southeast Portland. Sponsored by the Northwest Oregon Labor Council, the picnic attracts members from multiple unions who enjoy barbecue, music, games, carnival rides, raffle drawings, vendor booths, and time to visit with local politicians. Gov. Kate Brown will be in attendance. The picnic runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Political speeches take place at 1 p.m
The Clean Energy Jobs campaign field effort is ramping up quickly, and we need you to #actonclimate next Monday, September 4th. Join us for an incredible tabling opportunity and help us get the word about how the Clean Energy Jobs bill will transition Oregon to a clean energy economy and invest in good paying jobs, benefits, and apprenticeships. We’ll run through training with Renew Oregon field manager, Sonny Mehta, and then have fun signing up new supporters.
What: Tabling and canvass with Renew Oregon at the 2017 AFL=CIO Annual Labor Day Picnic
Where: We'll meet at the main entrance to Oaks Park 15 minutes before each shift.
When: Monday, September 4th from 10:00 am-5:00pm.
1st shift: 10:00am-12:00pm
2nd shift: 12:00pm-2:00pm
3rd shift: 2:00pm-5:00pm
