Canvassing_Ads_1_featured.pngThanks to all of the support from folks like you on the Clean Energy Jobs Campaign we’ve got a great chance to pass a bill that transitions Oregon away from using polluting energy to create good paying jobs as part of a clean energy economy.

So far, the campaign has generated 650 business endorsements throughout the state, which is great because it shows legislators how important clean energy jobs are for our economy. We need to use the next 3 months to get even more businesses throughout Oregon to sign on to the campaign. So, the Clean Energy Jobs team is hosting a recurring phone canvass. They’ll occur twice a month on Thursdays from 2PM to 5:00PM and we’ll not only call businesses but we’ll get to strengthen our organizing skills with some great trainings on organizing. There will also be food, and kids are welcome.

We’ll start each phone canvassing event with time to meet and greet one another, get some snack food, and then participate in an activity that deepens our understanding of organizing. After about an hour, we’ll commence making calls to selected businesses.
